Something that surprises me is how small the rear wing is for a circuit like Barcelona. This looks like a Spa or Monza spec wing. You would expect to see larger wings than before because there is no longer a penalty on the straights due to active aero.

That is more or less the new maximal allowed rear wing size. And that make me think they will run this max rear wings at ~70% of all circuits.
Interesting thought, though I don't know how much to read into a high downforce wing being brought to a high downforce track.
Does active aero negate the advantages of a trimmed down rear wing this much? Especially with how important we expect straight efficiency to be with these engines.

I think it's pointless to make any sort of "analysis" based on images like these. The overall contour of the car is accurate, but any detail between the lines is pretty much entirely hallucinated.

Bottom pic is AI for sure. Wtf is happening around front wheels? And front wheel deflectors are gone in ‘26

Grow up: AI does not ENHANCE the image!! Enhancing is making it better. AI only hallucinates made up things and adds it to the image. This is NOT enhancement, this is destruction!
Pleas no more AI images! Thank you!

German Media reported that they used an "A" version of the car and that it was mainly to check that everything works.

For Melbourne there is supposed to be a B Version of the car. So I wouldn't read too much into the pictures, be it with or without AI Slop.

I don't think I saw this posted? Has it been AI enhanced? I'm not sure.

Looks enhanced, it's hallucinated a '22-25 spec front wing end plate as well as the high raised floor inlet. There aren't any images of 2026 cars to train on so it's coming up with what it knows

Good spots. I agree. I also noticed the asymmetry of the rear wing endplates where it meets the wing. It looks like there is a hole on the left side. That isn't right.

Brazilian journalist for Motorsports.com Brazil
“After digging around here and there, a source told me that Audi's shakedown in Barcelona was extremely problematic. Apparently, they brought three power units, and some of those engines couldn't last more than a few laps.”

This, and Cadillac's problems, explain why the Barcelona tests will be private.

If true that implies two engine changes in a day. You don't do that for fun.
You'd do it only if you knew with some certainty that it is necessary. Metal particals in the oil, that kind of thing.

These engine would have spent a xxxxx hours in the engine dyno. The engine likely is not coming apart, more to do with installation and cooling.

Audi probably had half the car on a dyno before coming to the circuit.

It would take a ridiculous amount of work (and hours) to remove and install 2 new engines.
