Someone asked somewhere here, if the FWAS is optional. In the regs they state "if fitted" in the relevant section. So I assume it is optional.

There are hinges visible on the hangers of the front wing's uppermost element.

Those hangers look pretty fixed to me, unless the 3rd flap just rotates around the anchor point of them, and also the last ~20cm of it is definitely fixed to the endplate. And I have not seen any actuation rod under the nose. And I haven't seen any pictures or videos with it open either. I still think it's a fixed wing for this shakedown, until I see pics of it open or with some good explanation of how it operates.
Could be, although as you say, the break in the flap is visible at the end. Why manufacture fixed hangers for what is fabricated as a moveable flap (with the obvious break). Two moving flaps, one per side, split in the middle, and the obvious splits at the sides. We don't have a clear shot of actuator linkage yet. Yes, that could be missing, but fabricating fixed hangers for a flap that already has a break and hinge on its outboard end doesn't make sense to me.
Look at he first visible upper hanger to the left of the endplate in the photo. Compare the upper foot of it with the upper foot of the hanger directly in front of it. There is color break in the upper one--likely the clearance gap of hinge geometry. The lower one looks solid.
The interesting part though is the large unmoveable section at the ends. Why minimize the moveable area? They appear to have the smallest moveable flaps of all.
