Holy moly.

There's warnings incoming for many. There'll be deletions of gratuitous BS/suck/--- etc and some general nonsense removal.

Let's be clear. The biggest issue is a lack of respect.

Do not indulge in stupid personal digs.

If you can't reasonably discuss a basic topic such as motor racing, with respect and like a real life grown up, in a forum of your peers, then you really need to have a word with yourself.

Pause the typing.
Read it back.

Several posts are reported, many posters have tried to pull thread back into sensible areas.

Do not attack the poster. Disagree and challenge and get wild with your opinion, but don't be a pillock

It was only blind luck that prevented Charles from getting sandwiched in T1. If Lewis wants to take risks like that with his teammate he can’t expect kindness in return. Aggression breeds aggression.

Can we stop blaming Lewis for his divebomb. It was well executed and under control leaving space to Charles something he didnt return on the next turn. Max does divebombs all the time and in half of them hes going straight making the other driver taking evasive action. Its pretty much established by the majority that Ferrari first and Charles second screwed up big time. And saying he finished 6th on pure pace when he finished the race with the same tyre for 50 laps is unfair comparison.
So did the drivers ahead of him, finished the race with the same tyres for 50 laps. That was the pace of the car, why is it so hard to understand?

Lewis was the only driver on 50 lap mediums in the Top 6, the McLarens and Russell did 50 laps on the hards. The only representative comparison you can probably draw from that is a mediums vs hards comparison, not much about the car or driver.

It is blind luck because the car on the inside (Lewis) can’t see that. They’re leaving the grippier racing line open and hoping no one brakes late on the outside.

Since 2022 Charles has been the major points scorer for Ferrari. He will score more points for Ferrari this year than Lewis did for the entirety of 2025 and people seem to think he needs to roll over for the rest of this year...
No, he needs to stop thinking his team mate is the only driver with whom he is racing. As long as he only worries about his team mate, he will never win a title.
Yeah, letting his teammate through will definitely win him a title. Do you even hear yourself? It was the first lap, first corner, not the end of the world, these incidents happen, more so on the first lap, which is why stewards ignored it. But let's keep at each others' throats for this and completely ignore the fact that the PU is not good even after 2 ADUO upgrades and the strategy is still questionable.
You don't win races/titles in the first corner but you can lose them.

And rule 1 of racing is don't take out your team mate.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Nobody took out anyone, it was a racing incident, typical first lap first corner incident. Drivers have done this countless times in the past, Hamilton did it to his teammates as well, nothing new.

There was nothing between the two compounds, had there not been VSC, Max and Kimi would have finished with the 50 lap mediums, there was no indication of any change in pace/positions.

What are you talking about mate? Have you missed the whole of Hamilton's career and every single race in the rain where he left everyone one minute behind? Have you missed the fact that he beat 3 different world champions as teammates and a dozen on the same grid including Max Verstappen when he was 36 and past his prime in 2021? His career is not that different from Schumacher. In fact many have Hamilton as the modern era Schumacher.
No even close if we are being honest
That's harsh on Schumacher, he did win 7WDCs.

He had no trouble beating your superstar in an inferior car, grow up mate.
If Verstappen had no trouble beating Hamilton, why did he need two dedicated teams, three dedicated wingmen, and the FIA rigging the WDC in order to win?

What led you to the understanding that the top 6 all one-stopped?

Mercedes took all the trophies home because they had a much faster car.

No. And there’s still a trophy for third unless you’re gas lighting this as well.

The most sensible post so far. Kudos to you Olly. You described the whole situation with Ferrari this year perfectly. Wanted to add something to what you mentioned. The distance after the Spanish GP was 40 points with Ferrari having the momentum and able to win over Mercedes and yet Ferrari being the usual Ferrari 18 years now threw it all away instead of doing the bare minimum a team that wants the championship does.

Of course not now because Leclerc ruined too many of Hamilton's races and Leclerc's numerous crashes will prevent Ferrari from being able to spend any more money on upgrades.
Hamilton was going to finish P6 in any case, he was very slow today. Same for Zandvoort where he lost 3 points at best.
He was the fastest car on track at one point. his average pace to Max on the mediums was a tenth slower and thats on 25 lap older tires, yet max got a podium. Lewis lost out because of the turn 1 incident and way more so, them for some odd reason refusing to pit him under the vsc
Turn 1 he failed to take, the VSC was Ferrari's standard tactical failure. I doubt he would have accomplished much more even if they had pitted him.
