Why in the name of sweet f**k should there be one from sky?!?!
Because of the TV coverage. Someone from Sky(in this case because they have a "special" license) would have better input on that than the teambosses.

I did the thread to see what happens after Bernie is gone, not that i want him out right now.

I doubt he will live forever but who knows he might outlive us all ;)

Pure speculation :D

Back to subject...

If I'm not mistaken, there were rumors that Flavio could replace Bernie, once upon a time

It's a bit off topic, but I'd like to see a commissioner as a head of F1, like in NBA or NFL.This position proved to be pretty effective at solving problems related to fair play, trouble-maker players, and sticking to rules. He is elected by team owners, so it could be done in F1 too. His decisions almost always come fast, and after that nobody complains. It's very effective solution.
I'm sick of Bernie, especially when he openly states who he wants to be the next WDC or WCC and so on..

Can't claim to have any solid information to base this on, but I see Toto Wolf's manuevering likely to put him in a power postion in the near future.

Sauber ruined, now she got time to ruin F1.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Things are definitely looking grim, according to Swiss newspaper Tages Anzeiger they need 30 million euro to finish the season. The suppliers that are waiting for their money also loathe the uncooperative and arrogant behaviour of the Sauber executives when dealing with this crisis.

Ahem....The pullout of BMW nearly killed the team altogether. Following the withdrawal of BMW Mrs. Kaltenborn was appointed CEO of the team, and she has overseen the development of the team from an also ran to a solid middle team with a few podiums to its credit.

It seems that a lot of people forget that in order to have a race, there must be competitors on the grid. What does F1 do about its inability to meet its own goal of posting a 12 team field? Is it healthy for F1 when a third of the teams are in such a poor financial state that there is doubt about their ability to continue for another season. What of the phenomenon of golden goose pay drivers? I would argue that Kaltenborn has a practical experience with these matters, that make her a fine candidate to be Mr. Eccelstonse's successor.

Funny enough , Sauber had an excellent index in terms of invoices overdue not long ago in 2012 they were rated top of all formula 1 teams! ....
I wonder what caused the dramatic change here...maybe one or another sponsors did not pay or paid less? But Guttierrez still in..it was not Slim who failed to deliver or maybe he reduced his input when Perez left?
Clearly the car has not too many sponsors on display .
