I know. The fact that they're effectively using a smaller lever lenght for the pullrod to act on, as well as the awkard angle at which it sits probably mean that a lot of force has to go through that rod to make the suspension work, and it almost certainly makes them lose on mechanical grip. But everything is a matter of compromise, and they think they can outweigh the loss in mechanical grip with the added aero grip from the "cleaner" suspension setup providing better flow to the rear. Perhaps it works as intended, perhaps it's ---, none of us know.
All I'm saying is: it's stupid to assume that their suspension is to blame for their poor performances with not one of us having information to back that up.
