Interesting that both Mclaren’s were so far away in the speed trap... Probably more downforce in the car? Hope it pays off tomorrow!

They probably gambled on a wet set-up for tomorrow race
I understand it’s raining now... I’m assuming the team would prefer a wet race?
If they run more wing, in theory yes, but car behavior on vet track also depends on more factors, mechanical grip ... ect

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl revealed a problem which contributed to Norris missing a place in Q2 by 0.055 seconds.

"I think it’s also important to mention because we didn’t report it yet, in all fairness to Lando, it’s nice that he’s self-critical which is great to see in his character, but we also had an issue with the battery pack in qualifying on his car. So we lost one tenth by that, which should have been enough to progress to quali two. And then maybe it would have been a different story. But I think it’s important to mention."
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Lando starting from the back, changing the K, CE in addition to the faulty battery pack. Wouldn’t it have been more prudent to take an H, turbo and ICE as well (whole unit)? Surely nothing to loose, and the components get added to the pool.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Maybe not available on Renault-side...

That’s what I thought. I remembered a complaint by Horner regarding a similar incident. This is the aspect that worries me about Renault.

The new rules regarding taking extra components means that they can only ever have the maximum number of permissible units in their pool, so any extra units would replace other used units.

They could still run the new PU without issues till the upgrade is introduced after summer break.

Should we put Intermediate or Risk with Wets hoping it continues to rain?

Norris is on Wets. He didn't go in. Can he manage it with these tyres? Doesn't seem to. He is getting eaten. Yeap Norris pitted. Not a good start today. It's a long race though. On another note Sainz seem to be recovering now. Kimi is literally destroying Vettel in the rain. The bad news is that Hulkenberg is gonna get a lot of points and we don't want that.
