Fortunately the Pu responded well. With this data they can better study a better balanced Pu mode for the red bull race. Only red bull group can do this and maybe Ferrari. Renault can not and mercedes neither because they can not treat their engine clients like that
I agree. Using the aggressive mapping of PU Renault could be a disaster for them in the race, otherwise they would not have been so slow before. In the end, I think everyone will be in about the same positions, with the exception of Mercedes, which will be forced to use its settings in a more aggressive mode. how can they afford of the mode from point of fuel and if two laps of Q mode takes away from their engine 25 laps of higher race mode usage, 60 lap of Q mode usage will take away 750 laps which are 12 race long. lets they made 25, 15 laps still it make 7 races. So 7 race tear will be in just one race ?

Not only can Gasly n Norris outqualify max with a decent tow, i think Danny Ric will be much faster than Max. They are still struggling with balance after all these races some at same circuits. Monza typically bunches all teams so its all down to who gets the best tow and track condition.
Mercedes feels they are being unfairly targeted on the behest of Red Bull and Ferrari. A TD should be to stop people exploiting rules, not to simply take away an advantage, without a clear explanation. They are not happy that FIA has not provided a proper clarification on this action.
Ahem! I know aero is your strong point but please feel free to enlighten us with why a tow isn't worth the same as last year. Did we change the aero this year or is it not the same reg?
