The future certainly belongs to him and Russell as well as Verstappen.
If all teams are going for a one-stop, they will all slow down to "manage the tyres", and we'll have a boring race on our hands.godlameroso wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 17:06Either way I see a one stop being marginal unless the hards work.
Read some reports that his father was assassinated.. really sorry for Vitalyzibby43 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 20:06Hmm.

What a bizarre (and sad) situation this has turned out to be.
https://tv6.news/vitaly-petrovs-father- ... uguese-gp/His father, Alexander Petrov, have been murdered at his family home in the Russian city of Vyborg, very close to the Finnish border. According to various media in the country, the businessman has been found with signs of having been shot, although the details of what happened have given rise to numerous details. From 47News suggest that he may have been the victim of a sniper. This media indicates that Petrov was shot when he was leaving a bathhouse near a river and fell on the shore.
Some of the over-the-top Bottas hate is mystifying to me.Scorpaguy wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 21:30Bot has his issues, but he is no doubt a good qualifier. However, can he not comprehend simple math...opting for 1-timed lap of fuel so he can be optimal on weight rather than having optimal tire temps??? Somebody please tell him that if had opted for 2-timed laps of fuel, he would have been at optimal weight for the final run. Lewis had to be laughing that entire final lap.
Yes. People seem to have conveniently forgotten how highly regarded Bottas was 2014-2016. He beat Ricciardo when they met in junior single seaters. Bottas being useless is a convenient stick to beat Lewis with...zibby43 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 22:18Some of the over-the-top Bottas hate is mystifying to me.Scorpaguy wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 21:30Bot has his issues, but he is no doubt a good qualifier. He consistently makes it difficult for, and occasionally out-performs, the greatest qualifier in the history of Formula 1.
Only legitimate faults I can find for Bottas: 1) Occasionally, he has a qualifying session where he's about as far from Lewis as Albon is from Verstappen. 2) His tire management in the race (when not in clean air) is not as good/consistent as Lewis'.
Incredible coincidence to say the least.
I think both Max and Leclerc would beat him in quali. Rosberg did (when Ham was 6 years younger), and there is no reason Leclerc and Max are not faster then Rosberg.
There’s no reason they are, either.ferkan wrote: ↑24 Oct 2020, 23:43Leclerc is mind blowing fast. That car has 0 reason to be 0.4s of Merc and 0.15s of RB, both driven by top drivers like Hamilton and Max.I think both Max and Leclerc would beat him in quali.
